TheBudgetSoftware.com was started to meet a need, that we not only saw around us, but originally a need that was very personal. From the time I was young, I have been able to make money. The only problem was, I couldn't hang on to any of it.

I didn't have a savings account, and never had any money in my checking account, even though I was bringing in a good sized paycheck. The reason why is that I had no idea where my money was going! I knew where I ate on occasion, I knew that I had new clothes, I knew that I was driving back and forth to friends, food and fun. I had no clue that all those added up to me having no money once my good job left.

As illogical as it sounds, I just assumed that it would get better, that somehow my finances would fix themselves, or that eventually I would get a good enough job that I wouldn't have to worry about budgeting; that is one of the biggest lies in the world of finances. The richest people in the world still have budgets, the wise ones at least.

Bryan Dumire and myself know from personal experience that it is very possible to get into debt with no effort, but it takes considerable effort and dillegence to get out; which is why we developed a tool to make it slightly easier for us, and you, to get out of debt.
